Cochin/Thekkady/ Munnar/Cochin

Day 1:Begin your Tour Arrive into Cochin, City Tour Our friendly Local Representative will be waiting for you at your entry point. We welcome you to Cochin - the best base to explore "God's own country". Check in to the hotel. We then take you on a boat ride to visit the historical sights of Cochin. Visit the Dutch Palace at Mattancherry. This palace was actually built by the Portuguese. Marvel at the exquisite mural paintings on the palace walls We then proceed to Fort Cochin to visit St. Francis Church - the first church in India built by the Europeans. Get back to mainland Cochin by evening. Enjoy overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 2: Onto Thekkady After breakfast, we proceed to Thekkady, to visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Arrive at Thekkady by evening. Enjoy the overnight stay at the resort.

DAY 3:Visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary After breakfast, we enter the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. This is one of the best sanctuaries in India for watching and photographing elephants at close quarters. Next go trekking through one of the various trails around the sanctuary. Later, we make a short trip to a cardamom plantation. Thekkady is one of the major spice centers of Kerala. Enjoy overnight stay at the resort.

DAY 4:Onto Munnar After breakfast, we proceed to Munnar - a beautiful hill station on the Western Ghats at about 1600 meters above sea level. Reach Munnar by afternoon. Check in to the hotel. Enjoy the dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 5:Visit the Eravikulam National Park After breakfast, we will go for a full day sightseeing trip at Munnar. *Visit the Mattuppetti Dam and enjoy a boat ride. Later we proceed to the Eravikulam National Park - home of the endangered mountain goat species called the Nilgiri Tahr. A herd of them could descent on the valley in front of you any moment. Get back to the resort. Enjoy overnight stay.

DAY 6:Onto Cochin After breakfast, we check out from the hotel to begin our journey back to Cochin. Arrive at Cochin by afternoon. You Exhilarating Excursion has come to an end.
